Split screen effect with two lenses

Hi guys!

Sorry if this is super obvious, but I have searched around and can't wrap my head around it.

My wish is to create a split screen effect where the screen is divided in two, vertically, with a lens effect on each side. The person can then move their head back and forth between the two.

It would look somewhat like my bad mockup here:

Do I have to tinker with the layers and segmentation to split the screen like that?
