Snapchat subscribers/friends discrepancy

Whenever I post on my public story it shows up to my friends that I have added back in their subscriptions tabs. These friends are led to believe that I have an added them since I am in their subscriptions. I think it would be a good thing if Snapchat showed all stories to my friends as a normal story so they aren’t confused. Anyone else noticed this?
