Crashing for me about every 3 minutes. No rhyme or reason, just click on something and windows goes into it's (not responding) state.

  • I bet your every few minutes crashes could be caused by a number of things, such as a software issue, a hardware problem, or even a virus/malware infection.
Based on the screenshot you shared, it looks like you're running Windows 10. Have you tried running a virus scan or checking for any updates to your software and drivers?

    • it might also be helpful to check your computer's event logs to see if there are any error messages or warnings that could give you a clue as to what's causing the crashes.
  • It's a brand new machine (13900KS, 4090) with latest drivers. Latest Windows 11 updates, all security updates, and virus scans. Unity, Unreal, and all the other engines perform just fine.

Scanning the event logs for lens studio reveals nothing.

The only thing that I can think of is that I'm using a non-conventional webcam (Kinect v2).

  • So this indeed was because of my Kinect v2 webcam.

I went out and bought a logitech run-of-the-mill webcam, and wala! No more crashes.

    Great software...

  • I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your computer. From the information you provided, it's unclear whether the issue is related to the Snapchat app or to your computer system.

Assuming that you are referring to the Snapchat app crashing on your computer, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check for updates: Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Snapchat app. Check for updates in the Microsoft Store or the Snapchat website.

Restart your computer: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer can help resolve app-related issues.

Clear app cache: Clearing the cache for the Snapchat app may help fix the issue. To do this, go to Settings > Apps & Features > Snapchat > Advanced options > Reset.

Uninstall and reinstall the app: If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it from the Microsoft Store or the Snapchat website.
