Not possible to tweenTransform Position on a screen object/UI?

Trying to have some UI buttons slide in from off screen when the user enters a certain number of inputs. However when I enter values, even the most extreme nothing happens whatsoever. I have seen scale working, for screen images. Is position just not supported?
