VFX particle attraction
I know there's an attraction node in the vfx editor, but I'm struggling to make it work how I need it to. Basically, I want to apply an initial velocity to the particle when it spawns, then have the particle attraction set to the initial spawn location. It should try to return to where it started. I tried storing the…
How can I downsample a texture?
I'm using the garment transfer with copyFrame, but it's behaving really poorly on my device. Is there some way to downsample the copied texture?
Find the 3D bounding box of a mesh
Is there a built-in method for getting the 3D bounding box of a mesh? I am manually placing nulls and measuring distances, but it's kind of a pain to make the nulls for every object I want to measure.
Custom render target size
I'm trying to render a sprite sheet of various 3D particles to use in VFX, but I'm having trouble defining the size of the render target. After I change the size, it squashes the rendered image. I'm guessing I have to change the aspect ratio of the view frustum to match the render target, but is that even possible?…
Attaching scripts at runtime

We are trying to rapidly iterate on level designs that need some wireframe materials, and it would be great if we can throw a new level into LS without having to set up the wireframe material every time. I could do this by…
Accurate surface tracking / ground detection
What is the best way to ensure that my scene is placed on the ground? I don't want just any surface. Sometimes my scene spawns in the air, which totally breaks the experience. Also, I need to know that the scale is accurate. 1m in my scene should be 1m in reality. Is there a way to force this behavior?
Article: Using VSCode with Lens Studio
I wrote an article because I was so excited about the new VSCode integration. It's like a dream come true! If you do any scripting at all in LS, I really recommend switching over to VS Code. It's like a breath of fresh air. https://medium.com/popul-ar/using-vscode-with-lens-studio-24c0c7e96b50
