Lens Studio crashing when lenses are sent to Spectacles (2021) for preview

This issue has been going on for about a month. I'm using Lens Studio version 28.1 with next generation spectacles that are on v4.089.0056 (which I believe is the latest). Every time lenses are sent to spectacles for previewing, lens studio crashes as soon as the lens starts running.
Any tips on how to fix this?
