Projects Not Opening

Problem:
When I initially open up lens studio it opens fine and shows all my recent projects but when I try open a project (this could be a recent project, a template, or a new project) it shows a loading screen for a moment and then the window disappears. My computer's task bar shows that lens studio is still active but when I hover over it to get a preview of the active window it just shows a window preview that is just white. When I click it nothing happens.
Context:
I suspect this issue has something to do with my monitor set up but haven't been able to troubleshoot it on my own. I am using a laptop and normally have another monitor connected. This is the first time I have tried to use lens studio without my other monitor and also the first time that the program has had this issue.
