Volume Button not working to take snaps any more, what happened? How to fix!?

HELP!! My volume button has stopped working to taking snaps on my iPhone.
I've cleared the data, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing works, I have been searching online for how to fix this and I am getting no where. I am not playing any music or anything on my phone while taking a snap. Please HELP!!!

    check the permissions in your ios or andriod settings on how to fix it

    Check silent mode.
    Restart iPhone.
    Test volume button in other apps.
    Reset camera settings: Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings > Reset.
    Update iOS to the latest version.
    If problem persists, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store.

    The problem has nothing to do with ios or hardware.
    It seems snapchat genereally removed this feature. I still can take pictures via volume button in the normal Camera app, but in snapchat not and it just changes the volume.
    And i didnt find any options in the snapchat settings to solve it, if even possible. The ios settings for snapchat also doesnt mention anything in that direction.

    Apperantly it’s the result of some nerds having problem with the volume of some filters/lenses, thus Snapchat removed the volume button as phototrigger. Worst update of all time. It wouldn’t be that hard to add one single line in the in app settings to reverb this update/feature.
