Snapchat_Volume buttons no longer taking photos or videos

After the last iOS update [17.3] I can no longer take pictures or video on Snapchat using the volume buttons. What's the deal? Are there known fixes?

ACTIONS I've taken:

turned off bluetooth
hard restarted Iphone 12 mini
deleted and reinstalled the app
checked Snapchat permissions
logged out of Snapchat
dumped Snapchat cache
checked my cellular and sounds & haptics settings

Thoughts?
