ML Eraser question

Hi, I'm super new at Lens Studio and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to use an imported mesh placed into a custom location project that could become the source for an ML erase effect. The end result is to hide and replace a real-world object with a 3D object. I can't find resources that explain how ML Eraser scenes should be set up. I've got the template for Paint to Erase and I've been trying to understand how all the cameras work together, render targets, masks etc, but I'm not getting anywhere. In my mind, it's placing a 3D object into the scene that acts as a mask input for ML Eraser, but I'm stumped. Thanks for any known tutorials, references etc.
